Do you deliver to Ireland?
Yes we deliver to the Republic of Ireland (ROI). We also deliver to the United Kingdom (UK) and Europe.

Can I ask for additional items to be added to the forklift truck before handover / delivery?
Yes but if you do not go ahead with the purchase of the forklift truck, you may still need to pay for the cost of the alterations, such as fitting and the removal to the forklift truck. You may not be entitled to a refund (please see our terms and conditions for more details).

When does the forklift truck legally become mine?
A contract is made when you purchase the forklift truck. Ownership of the forklift truck passes to you at this time, as well as responsibility for the forklift truck. This means that if there is any subsequent damage to the truck, you will have to repair it at your own cost (unless the damage is covered by your insurance). Until such time as you have accepted the delivery / handover of the equipment.

How long will it take for the refund of my Handling Fee / purchase price to appear in my bank?
At the present time, any refunds will be paid to you by cheque and issued within 7 business days.

What happens if I wish to return the forklift truck within 30 days?
We will also recognise your request to exchange or refund your truck for up to 30 days after collection or delivery. This would require you to have taken reasonable care of the forklift truck, as per your statutory duty. Please see our terms and conditions of sale and the information below regarding this process.
You are responsible for returning the forklift truck. Should you require assistance we can arrange this for you with our transport partner. As soon as the truck has been returned, together with all relevant documents, we will arrange to refund the full purchase price of the truck.

What happens if I don’t feel the forklift truck is as described at handover/delivery?
At handover you have the option to change your mind and not go ahead with the purchase of the vehicle. In this instance we will then attempt to find you another suitable vehicle. If an agreement cannot be made, the handover will be cancelled or refunded depending on how you are paying, and refund your truck payment. The Handling Fee will not be refunded.

I’ve changed my mind, how do I cancel my forklift truck before the handover delivery?
If you are unhappy with your reserved truck then you can cancel it at any time by speaking to our customer service staff. If your cancellation reason is due to the truck itself, then they will seek an alternative truck for you. If you are still unhappy, then we will be happy to cancel your transaction and refund any payments.

How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is charged at £199 to anywhere in mainland United Kingdom (UK), (for customers who live in the Isle of Man, etc, we will be happy to deliver the truck to the nearest mainland port for collection).

What time can I get the forklift truck delivered to me?
Delivery is available 5 days a week and is subject to funds being cleared in advance of the forklift truck leaving our premises. Contact our Customer Services staff for more information.

How does the delivery work?
Please note that if you change your mind about the truck within the 5 days post purchase, you will not be entitled to a refund of the Handling Fee.

Can I send someone to collect the forklift truck on my behalf?
Your representative will need to examine the forklift truck and confirm they wish to proceed. They will be asked to sign a handover note at which point documentation relating to the forklift truck will be handed over and you will become the forklift truck owner.

How do I come and collect a forklift truck?
On the day, you’ll need to bring the required documentation and be asked to examine the truck to make sure you are happy. You’ll sign a handover note at which point documentation relating to the vehicle will be handed over and you will become the owner of the forklift truck.

All Buy It Now truck locations are located at the main show room office; full directions will be provided before viewings and collections.

What are my handover options?
You can either collect your truck or have it delivered to your premises. As part of the process our team will work with you to establish which option best suits your needs. For a fixed price of £199, we will deliver the material handling equipment to anywhere in the UK mainland and Ireland. Delivery charges are different for Europe, contact our sales team for prices.

What documentation do I need for when I get my forklift truck?
You will need to provide proof of identity (company ID), showing that you are the person we have on record as the buyer of the truck. You will also need documentation with your address on it.

What are my payment options for the balance of my forklift truck?
If paying by electronic transfer, please ensure the payment is made in sufficient time such that the funds are received before your handover. A typical bank transfer takes 3 – 4 days to clear.
We require cleared funds before we are able to release the vehicle.

Can I register after payment?
No, you need to call our Customer Support team who will be happy to take a Handling Fee payment from you over the phone and register you, which will then remove the truck from sale. You will then get the full benefits of your account and can move along the buying process.

Can I make a lower offer on the truck?
Equipmint puts every effort into ensuring you’re offered the best possible price on the forklift trucks. This means you don’t have to negotiate, as the truck is already listed at a competitively low price.

What is the Handling Fee For?
On paying your £99 Handling Fee, Equipmint will arrange with you a convenient handover or delivery date, administer the sale, prepare the truck and paperwork for your collection and be there to assist you with your inspection and handover.

How do I pay my Handling Fee?
The Handling Fee can be paid either with a credit or debit card. Completing both payment and registration confirms reservation of your forklift truck and it will then be removed from sale. Please note that the Handling Fee is payment against the cost of the truck.
In the event that you wish to cancel the sale, you can do so at any point prior to (or at) the handover, and your Handling Fee will be returned in full. Please note if you change your mind within 5 days post purchase, you will not be entitled to a refund of your Handling Fee.

Are the forklift trucks subjec to VAT?
All prices displayed on the Equipmint website are subject to standard rate VAT in the United Kingdom (UK). Prices are not subject to VAT in the Republic of Ireland (ROI) but will require your EC VAT number before delivery of the equipment.

Before reserving a forklift truck can I come and view it?
Yes – all forklift trucks displayed on the website are in the showroom and ‘READY TO GO’. Feel free to call in anytime during business trading hours, no pre booking arrangements are required but we do recommend you contact the Customers Services team before arriving. They will confirm the status of the forklift truck. Please note that a forklift truck is only removed from sale when a Handling Fee payment has been received in full. Therefore, if you arrange to view a truck that you haven’t reserved, it is possible someone else may reserve and remove it from sale in the meantime.

How many keys are provided?
Every truck will be supplied with at least one key suitable for operating all locks on the used forklift truck. We do not offer any guarantee for additional keys including any ‘master’ keys will be provided. We do not hold spare keys for any of the used forklift trucks we sell. Upon purchase you will be provided with all additional keys which come with the used forklift truck on delivery free of charge.

How often does Equipmint update the online forklift stock?
Equipmint’s have a very large stock range comprising of different types of material handling equipment ranging from hand pallet trucks through to heavy plant machinery. The stock list changes on demand and is updated dynamically when items arrive into the showroom.

Inspections
PUWER 98 (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 - deals with all the other safety related items, such as brakes, steering and tyres.
Companies accredited by CFTS are obliged under their stringent procedural code of practice to provide:
1. A report of Thorough Examination complying fully with LOLER 98 using a checklist specifying what has been checked and recording any comments made.
2. Certificate to keep with the truck’s documents and a sticker is fixed to the truck to show the month and year of when the next Thorough Examination will be due.

The truck I found is no longer on the site - will it come back?
Used forklift trucks are removed from the online stock when another customer reserves the truck. This is achieved by selecting the ‘Secure It For £99’ reservation button. We encourage all customers to contact our friendly customers support team who will be able to update you on the individual forklift truck status. Our staff will help find you an alternative forklift truck to suit your working requirements.

What does ‘Buy it now’ mean?
‘Buy it now’ means the used forklift trucks are currently in our showroom stock. Each of the used forklift units will have a certified LOLER inspection certificate which is available to access on the website. The general public have access to the photo gallery, video demonstrations, forklift attributes and descriptions. When you select ‘Buy it now’, you will be able to choose to deliver or collected and arrange a handover date immediately. Some forklift trucks can be taken away in as little as 1 working day.
